Crochet Class Series

This four-part crochet series is designed to take beginners from foundational skills to creative stitch exploration. Each class builds on previous, allowing students to gradually develop confidence, skill, and creativity. Students will learn essential stitches, shaping, pattern translation, and texture techniques while completing small projects in each class.

The series is idea for those looking to gain a strong foundation in crochet, explore new stitches, and complete practical projects. Classes are approximately 2 hours each, with a maximum of 8 students per class depending on the topic, ensuring plenty of individualized attention.

Crochet 101 - Basics and Building Blocks - March 8th 2-4pm

• Foundations: chain, single, half-double and double-crochet
• Maintaining tension, creating edges, and color changes
• Complete a beginner-friendly project

Crochet 102 - Building on Basics - March 15th 2-4pm

• Shaping: Increases and decreases
• Constructing circular and shaped pieces
• Understanding stitch structure and pattern flow

Crochet 103 - Beyond Basics - March 22nd 2-4pm

• Granny squares and motifs
• Combining color and structure for creative projects
• Project-based application: blankets, bags or small panels

Crochet 104 - Expanding the Basics - March 29th 2-4pm

• Textured and decorative stitches: FP/BP, shell, puff, moss, mesh, chevron
• Translating stitch patterns into finished projects
• Hands-on practice creating textured swatches or small functional pieces
